How Adele went from recluse to pop diva

She’s always been notoriously private,
so it came as little surprise that Adele and husband Simon Konecki split months before the news was made public. But for someone who was once famed for her down-
to-earth nature, former Tottenham native Adele,
31, seems to have gone all Hollywood on us lately.

Last month she stepped out in a Balenciaga coat worth £2.5k and some trendy Louboutin boots. Well, it’s a far cry from her usual high-street brands.

Now Woman can reveal that a flashy wardrobe is the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Adele’s new world.

Hollywood makeover

Since shooting to fame
in 2008, Adele’s style has naturally evolved. But it seems that since moving across the pond in 2016 she’s stepped it up a notch. Gone are her former trademark winged eyeliner and beehive, replaced by contoured make-up and a stylish blonde bob.
Adele also used to favour casual, oversized black clothing, but has recently opted for the kind of smart, mega-fashionable looks you’d expect from
a diva of her calibre.

In a bubble

A well-placed source tells Woman that the mum-of-one has settled into her Los Angeles bubble, explaining, ‘Adele is still reclusive, but these days she’s more exclusive-reclusive.
‘She loves to throw huge parties at her home and often invites all of her showbiz pals.’

In April last year, Adele became ordained to perform the wedding ceremony of her friend Alan Carr and his partner Paul Drayton in her back garden. It’s thought she paid for everything.

This is 31…thank fucking god 💀 30 tried me so hard but I’m owning it and trying my hardest to lean in to it all. No matter how long we’re here for life is constant and complicated at times. I’ve changed drastically in the last couple years and I’m still changing and that’s okay. 31 is going to be a big ol’ year and I’m going to spend it all on myself. For the first time in a decade I’m ready to feel the world around me and look up for once. Be kind to yourself people we’re only human, go slow, put your phone down and laugh out loud at every opportunity. Learning to REALLY truly love yourself is it, and I’ve only just realized that that is more than enough. I’ll learn to love you lot eventually 😂 Bunch of fucking savages, 30 will be a drum n bass record to spite you. Chin up eh ❤

When it comes to commuting to New York – where she was spotted at a recording studio, possibly working on her highly anticipated fourth album – don’t expect to find Adele in economy.

Our source says, ‘Adele takes a private jet from LA to New York and jokes that hopping on a jet
is as simple as getting the bus.’

Health kicks

Adele has always been a strong vocal advocate for plus-size women and has often insisted that she’d never lose weight to benefit her career.
But there’s no denying the iconic singer has slimmed down over the past couple of years, and Woman recently revealed she’d dropped around 2st on the so-called ‘heartbreak diet’ after her relationship with her now ex-husband Simon hit a rocky patch.

And we’re told the Hello hitmaker has
a fitness instructor, who’s got her on a pretty strange regime.
Our insider says, ‘Adele is on blended wheat-germ shots for breakfast and is really into yoga these days.
‘She couldn’t be any more Hollywood if she tried!’

A-list circle

Although she’s never been one for the showbiz party scene, it appears that Adele has finally given in and built a circle of super-famous friends. Most recently she enjoyed a night out with Jennifer Lawrence, and these days Adele also counts Emma Stone and Cameron Diaz as good friends.

‘Adele has always chosen her friends carefully,’ our source adds. ‘But it’s safe to say she’s retreated into a world that’s definitely her new “normal”.
‘It’s a surreal LA celebrity world
to exist in, but
the women Adele socialises with
are all smart and self-made, and it’s
a place she feels safe. They’ll definitely be helping her get over
her split from Simon.’
